We’re very excited about this year’s Slam Dunk Festival. It’s always one of the highlights of the year, and this time will be no different. The line-up is always incredible, each year being bigger than the last, and tickets are still under £50, which is an absolute bargain. We’ve had a look through this year’s line-up and have picked out these bands as the ones not to miss:
Zebrahead
Simply one of the most entertaining live bands on the planet. Zebrahead are the ultimate showmen, and are stalwarts of the Slam Dunk Festival line-up, with this being their fifth consecutive appearance. Crowdsurfing beers, chugging competitions, huge circle pits, Zebrahead bring the party and you’d be stupid to miss them.
This Time Last Year
The North’s competition winners. We recently caught these guys at Pop Punk Pile Up and were impressed with their upbeat, fun, high energy show. They’ve won their spot at the festival on merit and deserve a big crowd, so make sure you check them out!
Four Year Strong
Last time Four Year Strong played at Slam Dunk Festival, the queue to get in to the Academy was still all the way around the venue by the time they’d finished, so we didn’t get to see them. They’re on a much bigger stage this time though, so we’re not missing out again. The melodic pop-punkers are such a fun live band, and have a whole back catalogue full of bangers, so their set is certain to be special.
Rob Lynch
Another Slam Dunk favourite, Rob Lynch will be taking to the acoustic stage on the back of his new single release. There aren’t many acoustic acts on the scene in the UK that are as good as Rob Lynch, and we can guarantee that the singalong to My Friends & I will be one of the highlights of the whole day.
Goldfinger
John Feldmann and co are a legendary band and are loads of fun live. Throughout their long career which began in the mid-90s, the band have churned out plenty of hits, so their set is guaranteed to be an hour of none stop singing and dancing, should you choose to get involved. (You should!)
